Mike Bruce
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mike is responsible for the vision, corporate strategy, and general operations of InScope Solutions, a veteran-owned 8(a) nationally recognized for enabling clients to maximize their technology and business investments. Mike founded InScope in the wake of 9/11, determined to bring commercial innovation and best-practices to the federal government.
Before starting InScope, Mike was the Vice President of Strategic Accounts at SevenSpace, a startup that grew from $500k to over $20M annually during his tenure. The company was later purchased by Sun Microsystems and continues to operate as their managed services arm.
Mike's entrepreneurial record includes launching and running an e-commerce services company backed by Tim Draper, Columbia Capital, and Merrill Lynch. He also ran the Marketing and Business Development department of one of the first community-based Internal portals, which he helped lead to a successful NASDAQ public offering.
Mike holds a joint MS/MBA from the Information Networking Institute of Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Computer Science with honors from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He also completed undergraduate studies in the Aerospace Department of MIT while an Air Force ROTC cadet. At MIT, Mike pledged brotherhood to the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
Mike is the Chairman of Ambleside School and sits on Advisory Boards at Carnegie Mellon University and Ambleside Schools International. He and his wife Sarah live in Vienna, Virginia with their four children where he is very involved in coaching youth sports. Mike is also part of the music ministry at his local church where he plays the piano and keyboard.
